THE NEW TERM BEGINS TUESDAY 7th SEPTEMBER
You can still collect your new blazers in school up to and including Monday 6th September (except Sat & Sun). The blazers cost between 10 and 12 pounds depending upon the size and please note that it is CASH ONLY now. We do not have the facility to accept credit/debit cards nor can we accept personal cheques.
The Bolsover School is a specialist Business and Enterprise
Secondary School based in Derbyshire.
We are in the final phase of the Building Schools for the Future programme with our new school expected to be finished in time for us to move in after the October half term holiday.
School Governor Vacancies
With effect from September 2010 the school will have two governor vacancies:
Parent Governor
To apply for this position you must have a child admitted to the school. This position will be advertised during September, a letter will be sent home with all students. In the event of more than one applicant the election will go to a vote. Details of the election process will be included in the letter.
Community Governor
Anyone can apply for this position (with the exception of school staff). To apply for this position you should write to Mrs D Whittaker, Clerk to Governors. Please provide details of why you would like to become a Community Governor, what skills you have and what contribution you could make to our Governing Body. Applications for Community Governors will be submitted to the Governing Body.

Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is the country's largest school buildings programme ever. It aims to rebuild or renew nearly every secondary school in England.
In December 2008 the local authority selected Equitix as its preferred partner to develop the new facilities at the school.
